Avijit Nandi Majumdar, Editor-in-Chief: Is firebrand Trinamul Congress leader and mayor of Bidhannagar Sabyasachi Dutta changing political colors ? Senior TMC leaders told ANM News that Dutta has betrayed the party and inched closer towards BJP.  TMC satraps claimed that his meeting with BJP leader Mukul Roy was icing on the cake. Why would Roy reach Dutta’s house and meet him out of the blue? But Dutta was oblivious to the political storm cooking over him and the speculations that he is being removed from Mayor of Bidhannagar. Speaking exclusively to ANM News, Dutta claimed that he has not made up his mind of leaving TMC and joining BJP. “My personal life has nothing to do with politics. If a person of different political party come knocking at my door, why should I turn him back,” he said. “No one can take away my personal independence. A political party cannot dictate my personal life,” he added. Dutta claimed that none from TMC has contacted him so far and he is ready to give a written clarification if required by the party. “As of now I am loyal soldier of the party. Let’s see what happens in future,” he added.  There are speculations that Dutta might be removed as Mayor and replaced by former CPM leader turned TMC councillor Tapas Chatterjee.
