ANM News Desk: US President Donald Trump stated that he discussed the Kashmir issue with the leaders of India and Pakistan during his meetings and offered to help with mediation to the two nuclear-armed countries, who have to “work it out.”

Addressing reporters on Wednesday, Trump said he has had “very productive conversations” with leaders of India and Pakistan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Trump met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a bilateral meeting on Tuesday on the sidelines of the UNGA for 40 minutes, and a day earlier he met Pakistan PM Imran Khan.

ANM News Desk:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear that India wants “certain concrete steps” from Pakistan before resumption of talks during his meeting with US President Donald Trump who hoped that the two neighbours can “work out something” on the Kashmir issue.

Prime Minister Modi and President Trump met on the sidelines of the UNGA session in New York.

Their 40-minute discussion mainly focussed on the bilateral trade and issues related to terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

Pelosi, the speaker of the House of Representatives, said that Trump betrayed his oath of office by seeking help from a foreign power to hurt Democratic rival Joe Biden.

The dramatic move — the first step in a complex process that stands little chance of driving Trump from office. This comes just 14 months before fresh elections for control of the White House and Congress.
