INDIA DEMANDS HANDING OVER DAWOOD, SAYEED SALAHUDDIN

ANM News Desk: Indian officials stated that if Pakistan was interested in countering terrorism, they should hand over Dawood Ibrahim, Sayeed Salahuddin and other terrorists who are Indian citizens.

They stated that Pakistan had failed to take noticeable actions against JeM following the dastardly Pulwama attack.

India along with nations all over the world are pressing Pakistan to take action against terrorists harbouring there.

U.S. ASKS PAKISTAN FOR STERN ACTIONS AGAINST TERRORISM

ANM News Desk: The Trump administration stated that they were asserting pressure on Pakistan to ensure ‘irreversible’ actions against terrorists residing in Pakistan.

Following the Pulwama terror attack, India launched a diplomatic war against Pakistan.

The U.S. has publicly supported India’s right to self-defence and has gradually built pressure over Pakistan.

INDIA NOT TO NEGOTIATE WITH CHINA ON AZHAR’S BAN

ANM News Desk: Indian Government stated that it would not go for any negotiation or make deal with the Chinese Government to gain its support on imposing UN’s sanctions on JeM’s Chief Masood Azhar.

India stated that it will continue to be patient but not rest till the sanction is finalized.

China had again blocked the move to blacklist Azhar but India is determined to achieve the feat  which will result in Masood Azhar facing asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo.

FRANCE FREEZES AZHAR’S ASSETS

ANM News Desk: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj held telephonic conversations with French Foreign Minister Le Drian on Friday. Mr. Drian informed her about France imposing sanctions on JeM chief Masood Azhar by freezing his assets.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated that the action on the part of France was an expression of partnership with India and fight against terror.

CHINA PREVENTS AZHAR’S BLACKLISTING

ANM News Desk: China has yet again blocked the UNSC committee from  blacklisting Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by putting a ‘technical hold’ on the proposal.

The technical hold is valid for up to six months and it can be again extended by up to three months.

China argued that the Pulwama terror attack had taken place in the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.

China, a permanent member of UNSC had previously prevented the sanctions committee from banning Azhar in 2016 and 2017.

US WANTS AZHAR TO BE DECLARED GLOBAL TERRORIST

ANM News Desk: Prior to the crucial UNSC meet on Jaish-e-Mohammed chief, US stated that Masood Azhar met all the categories to be designated as a global terrorist adding that it threatened global peace.

Three permanent members of the UNSC — the United States, Britain and France — have moved a resolution to designate Azhar as a global terrorist.

Global outrage rose after the horrific Pulwama terror attack as India rose to gather allies and isolate those providing shelter to terrorists.

DRDO SCIENTISTS DEVELOP SPECIAL MEDICATIONS FOR MILITARY TROOPS

ANM News Desk: The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s medical laboratory has developed new ‘combat casualty drugs’ that can save the the military troops during the vital hour before they are shifted to a hospital for further treatments.

The special treatment includes bleeding wound sealants, super absorptive dressings and glycerated salines, all of which can save lives in the event of warfare as well as in terror attacks, scientists stated.

DRDO officials said that proper medications could have brought down the death toll in Pulwama terror attack.

PM MODI HOLDS TALKS WITH PRESIDENT ERDOGAN ON COUNTERING TERRORISM

ANM News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held telephonic discussions with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.

President Erdogan expressed his condolences over the Pulwama terror attack. PM Modi gave importance towards countering terrorism and said that it still remains one of the gravest threats to global peace.

The Prime Minister’s telephonic talks with key leaders comes at a time when the government is pursuing the international community to insist UNSC on declaring Masood Azhar a global terrorist.

$3 BILLION INDO-RUSSIAN DEAL OVER NUCLEAR SUBMARINE

ANM News Desk: India sealed a $3 billion deal with Russia  on Thursday for leasing a  nuclear-powered attack submarine for the Indian Navy for 10 years.

After months of negotiations regarding price and other aspects of the deal, the two countries signed the inter-governmental agreement.

According to the pact, the Akula class submarine, dubbed Chakra III will be delivered by Russia to India by 2025.

This will be the third nuclear submarine to be leased to the Indian Navy.

PAKISTAN PROVIDES INTELLIGENCE TO JEM: PERVEZ MUSHARRAF

ANM News Desk: Former Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf disclosed that the Jaish-e-Mohammad was using Pak’s intelligence to attack India while he was in power.

He stated in a private telephonic conversation that the terrorist outfit had also tried to assassinate him twice in December 2003.

Amid all this, not much action was taken against the Jaish, Pervez Musharraf stated, adding that he had also not insisted.
