BABUL SUPRIYO SLAMS MAMATA OVER STATE VIOLENCE

ANM News Desk: BJP candidate Babul Supriyo hurled verbal attacks at CM Mamata Banerjee over the repeated incidents of violence in West Bengal.  He stated that violence is bound to happen when the CM states that “she will take revenge”. Supriyo claimed that the opposition accused him of spreading violence but that wasn’t the scene.

BLAME GAME CONTINUES BETWEEN BJP AND TMC

ANM News Desk: Clashes between BJP and TMC has raised controversies as the blame game continues between both the parties.

Supporters of both parties are blaming each other as well and CPI(M) has sided with the TMC following the vandalization of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s bust.

KOLKATA POLICE REGISTERS FIR AGAINST AMIT SHAH

ANM News Desk: The Kolkata Police has registered FIR  against BJP chief Amit Shah following the BJP-TMC clashes in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The police registered two FIRs – one at Jorasanko police station and another at Amherst Street police station. In the FIR registered at Amherst Street police station on the complaints filed by students of Vidyasagar College and Calcutta University, Amit Shah has been named as an accused.

SC PULLS UP TMC OVER DELAYED RELEASE OF PRIYANKA SHARMA

ANM News Desk: The Supreme Court on Wednesday questioned the West Bengal government over the delay in release of BJP Youth Wing worker, Priyanka Sharma who was arrested for sharing a meme on Mamata Banerjee.

The apex court who had granted a bail to Priyanka demanding for a written apology to the West Bengal had warned of contempt proceedings if the state government failed to free her.
