COMPLAINT FILED CONGRESS WORKER FOR ALLEGED DEFAMATORY REMARKS AGAINST AMIT SHAH

ANM News Desk: A complaint has been filed against Congress Councilor Yasmin Kidwai on Saturday for allegedly making defamatory remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The complaint has been filed Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha National Secretary Impreet Singh Bakshi referencing a tweet posted by Kidwai on August 10.

The complainant said in a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner alleged that ‘sole motive of such derogatory and defamatory statement issued by accused Yasmin Kidwai is to gain limelight since she is defaming the Home Minister’.

AMID MULTI-TIER SECURITY COVER, AMARNATH YATRA TO BEGIN FROM MONDAY

Yawar Shafi, Srinagar: Amid three tier security cover, the annual amaranth yatra shall commence from Monday amid unprecedented arrangements. The will be on track from twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam. The 40-day yatra to the cave shrine at an altitude of 3,880 metre in the South Kashmir Himalayas will commence from both the routes. Largely all arrangements have been put in place just some final touches are being given.

The Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police have been tasked with providing security to the pilgrims and a multi-tier security arrangement has been planned for the yatra. The security forces have begun sanitizing the yatra routes and have been asked to ensure optimum use of latest technologies and gadgets for securing the yatra. The officials said that forces are not taking any chances especially in the wake of February 14 Pulwama suicide attack which left 40 CRPF personnel dead.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah Wednesday warned officials against any complacency in the security arrangements for the yatra and directed them to strictly implement the standard operating procedures for the pilgrimage. During his two-day visit to the state, Shah underlined the importance of the standard operating procedure for convoy movement and specifically stressed on timely dispatch of convoys. Shah said that after the cut-off timings, barricades should be erected at suitable locations and no differentiation should be made between yatris and tourists.

WOUNDED CIVILIAN SUCCUMBED IN KULGAM BLAST, TOLL MOUNTS TO 2

Yawar Shafi, Srinagar: One more injured civilian has succumbed to injuries. He was wounded in Mysterious Blast at Chidder Ban area of Khudwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on June 27 l. The person identified as Mohammad Abass Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Chidder Khudwani breathed his last at SKIMS here in Soura Srinagar this afternoon.

On June 27, a scrap shop dealer died on the spot while as two others Mohd Abass Bhat and Yawar Ahmad were injured seriously in the mysterious blast.
Both the injured were shifted to PHC Qaimoh where from the duo were referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment. However, Abass succumbed to grave injuries today afternoon in SKIMS Soura. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan had ordered an enquiry into the incident.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam has been ordered to conduct an Inquiry into the incident and come up with a report within seven days. Additional District Magistrate, Kulgam (Inquiry officer) shall conduct a magisterial probe into the mysterious blast incident which occurred at Chidder Village of Tehsil Qaimoh in Kulgam District on June 27 (Thursday).

AHEAD OF ANNUAL AMARNATH YATRA, TOP SECURITY OFFICIALS REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS

Yawar Shafi, Srinagar: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani-IPS and IG CRPF (Operation) Rajesh Kumar-IPS accompanied by DIG South Kashmir Atul Kumar Goel-IPS and SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan visited Anantnag and took stock of arrangements put in place for Annual Amarnath Yatra.
IGP Kashmir and IG CRPF held a detailed security review meeting with the officers of police, CAPF and other law enforcement agencies for facilitating synergy, better coordination & communication among forces during the Yatra. They took extensive review of the arrangements put in place to facilitate the smooth & secure movement of Yatries.
They directed the concerned officers to work in close coordination with each other and take all necessary steps so that common commuters do not suffer during the Yatra.
Both the IGs also reviewed the arrangements put in place by different service providers & emphasised on them to take all necessary steps for smooth completion of Yatra.
SSP Anantnag gave them a detailed briefing about the security & traffic arrangements being put in place by police in close coordination with other security agencies for smooth and peaceful Yatra.
