BY A STAFF REPORTER :Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an extended Garib Kalyan Yojana but was silent on Chinese incursion in Indian territory in Eastern Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. Modi announced 5 kilogram of wheat per family per month and extended the Garib Kalyan Yojana till November. “Poor will get a free ration every month. We have launched one nation one ration card,” he said. In his 15 minute address, Modi was silent on fuel price rise, China’s build up along the Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh border and economic crisis in the country. “Poor will get five kilogram of rice, five kilogram of wheat and one kilogram of chana every month,” he said. Modi claimed that India has been successful in controlling coronavirus pandemic through effective implementation of lockdown measures.
