TRUMP DECIDES NOT TO IMPOSE QUOTAS ON URANIUM IMPORTS

ANM News Desk: US President Donald Trump stated that he will not impose quotas on importing Uranium. The decision is surprising as Trump had pointed to national security concerns in calling for restrictions on foreign metal and autos in trade negotiations. Uranium is a vital component for the U.S. nuclear arsenal, submarines and power plants.

US needs 5% of Uranium for military and electricity generation which comes from domestic production. Russia, China and other countries supply the rest.

Trump stated that  he was going to order a working group to use 90 days to make recommendations to increase domestic uranium production.
