MAMATA ALLOWS FLOWER MARKET, TELANGANA CM ARGUES FOR EXTENSION OF LOCKDOWN

STAFF REPORTER, ANM News: Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao favors an extension of  nationwide lockdown arguing that economy can be revived, but saving lives are a priority of the state. West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced four hours later that TMC government has allowed flower market to function from Wednesday. West Government officials unwilling to come on record mentioned that the country is going through a critical phase in battle against coronavirus. Health experts mentioned that it is imperative for people to stay indoors and maintain social distancing and past experience over the last one week indicated that people are not adhering to the advisories. “Moreover Tablighi Jamaat has spread the disease across the country and it has not been possible for the government to identify all of them in West Bengal. At this juncture, opening up the flower market is a crucial decision. It will add to the crowding in the market and more movement of vehicles,” a senior doctor said. Chief minister also announced that Kishan mandi and krishak mandi all over the state will remain open from Wednesday.
