BJP against politicising doctor’s agitation

BY A Staff reporter : Blame it on Kolkata police for failing to arrest the perpetrators of the crime and violence at NRS Hospital. Speaking exclusively to ANM News over phone from Balurghat, BJP leader and newly elected MP, Dr Sukanta Majumdar claimed Kolkata police has completely failed to asses and provide adequate security to the NRS medical College and hospital despite the fact that such kind of incidents had occurred in same premises. The BJP leader clarified that his party is against politicising the doctor’s agitation but any talks between the doctor’s representatives and state chief minister Mamata Banerjee should be preceded by arrest of actual culprits responsible for the incident. “Please cull out the CCTV footages and identify the accused persons and arrest them,” he said. “I had gone there but did not take the stage or addressed the gathering as we are against adding any political colour to the agitation,” he added.
